Title:  the sneaver

Composer:  Joe Raposo / Elaine Laron

Lead vocals:  Bill Cosby

Backing vocals:  Short Circus #1

Scene:  The kids surround Bill and enthusiastically join in his word game.

[BC]  The sneeze of a beaver is called a sneaver.

A small young walrus is known as a smallrus.

The rear end of a moose has been called a moose-caboose,

While pajamas worn by camels are referred to as pajamels.  Yeah.

To play this game, just take two words and turn them into one.

And try the game with longer words, and have some extra fun.  Uh, huh.

An elephant that’s elegant is called an elegelephant.

An alligator’s elevator is an alligelevator.

Some gorillas love vanilla.  They’re gorillanillas.

If an antelope digs cantaloupe, then he’s a cantalantelope.

I was told this by a parentirate.  He’s the parent of a pirate.

He said you can do it too, ‘cause there’s more than just a few,

And you can stimulate your thought if you’ll remember what I’ve taught.

To make very sure you know, let’s try and say ‘em in a row.

Sneaver, smallrus, moose-caboose, pajamels, elegelephant.

Gorillanillas ride upon the alligelevator.

Parentirates say that cantalantelopes are very nice.

Try and say it twice!

Sneaver, smallrus, moose-caboose, pajamels, elegelephant.

Gorillanillas ride upon the alligelevator.

And if a cantalantelope would buy a candelabra,

Then that is called a cantalantelopalabra.
