Title:  same old Santa

Composer:  Joe Raposo

Lead vocals:  Jim Boyd, Rita Moreno, Judy Graubart, Lee Chamberlin, Luis Avalos

Backing vocals:  none

Scene:  Skip Hinnant as Santa, delivering not-so-welcome gifts to the cast, dressed as kids.

[JB]  It’s the same old Santa, bringin’ pencils in a case.

What I sorta hoped he’d bring was a car that I could race.

[RM]  It’s the same old Santa, bringing hankies for my sneeze,

When what I’d really rather have is a brand new pair of skis.

[JG]  Same old Santa, bringing something for my feet,

When what I really want is something chocolaty to eat.

[LC]  Same old Santa, with a bottle of cologne.

What I’d really rather have is a puppy of my own.

[LA]  It’s the same old Santa, with something for my head,

When what I’d really like to have is a super-special sled.

[JB, RM, JG, LC, LA]  Santa, Santa!  Can’t you tell we’ve had enough

Of that same old Santa, with that same old boring stuff?
