Title: I got a note
Composer: Joe Raposo ?
Lead vocals: Jim Boyd
Backing vocals: none
Scene: Jim as Crank in his apartment, trying to decipher a perplexing message.
[JB] I got a note that’s quite mysterious.
I got a note. I think they’re serious.
I got a note, and it’s no bunk.
It says, “Crank, let the skunk outta the trunk.”
I got a note that I’m quite smitten on.
It ain’t worth the paper it’s written on.
It tells me clearly to free a skunk,
But there’s one thing missing. That is the trunk.
I got lots of boxes around this place,
And there’s plenty of luggage to take up space.
I got paper bags, jars full of junk,
But I don’t have a trunk to imprison a skunk!
This note was meanten for some other guy.
Maybe I’ll find him, if I’d only try
To sort out the answer from all this junk,
And come up with a guy with a trunk for a skunk!
